I Don’t Belong to Fear

What I Know, What I’ve Learned, and What I’m Still Figuring Out

  • Personal Nonfiction / Reflections

I’ve been wrong about things I was absolutely sure of. I’ve made decisions I still question, and I’ve had experiences I didn’t fully understand until years later.

I DON’T BELONG TO FEAR is a collection of personal experiences, observations, and perspectives on fear, relationships, growing older, and continuing to figure things out.

About Jacoby Mason

Behind the Stories

I’ve been writing things down for as long as I can remember. Sometimes it was something I experienced. Other times, it was a thought I couldn’t leave alone.

I’ve always been interested in people, the decisions we make, and how differently two people can see the exact same situation.

Some of those thoughts eventually became I DON’T BELONG TO FEAR, my first nonfiction book.

But not everything I think about comes from something I’ve experienced. Sometimes I get curious about things that don’t exist. Like a golden door appearing in the middle of the ocean, and what might happen if somebody walked through it.

That’s where THE OCEAN HAS A DOOR comes in.

Some stories come from what I’ve lived. Others come from what I’ve imagined.

Either way, there’s usually something I’m trying to figure out.

Letters from Jacoby

Some stories don’t make it into the books.

Occasional notes on what I’m writing, what I’m thinking about, and what’s coming next. New books, unfinished ideas, and a few things worth sharing along the way.
